As part of the HIV / AIDS awareness campaign, a street play program was organized jointly by the Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society, Bengaluru; Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat; District Health and Family Welfare Department, Mangaluru; and Government Polytechnic, Bantwal. The program was conducted at the premises of Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital in association with Manaswini Nursing College.
Students participating in the program performed a street play that played a significant role in creating awareness among the public about HIV / AIDS. Through the performance, important messages regarding the modes of transmission, prevention, and the need for awareness were effectively conveyed.
A large number of members from the public attended the program and gained useful information, thereby increasing their awareness about HIV / AIDS. Such awareness programs play a vital role in safeguarding public health and promoting a healthy society.
